Laths are slender Gum poles that are primarily employed in a horizontal manner within lapas and thatch roofs. A considerable number of individuals utilize these laths to adorn fences and lapas. The Laths are treated with a wood preservative that contains copper, chromium and arsenic (CCA) to protect wooden structures, from decay and insect infestations. The chemicals in CCA penetrate the wood, creating a barrier against degradation.
