VOERMOL BOVELDER LICK CONCENTRATE is a lick concentrate for the home mixing of winter licks for cattle in sour veld areas with severe winters:
- must be mixed with salt and other ingredients to give a maintenance lick or a suitable production lick;
- specially formulated for areas where the intake of regular winter licks is too high;
- is a concentrated source of protein which leads to a lower cost per unit protein;
- contains adequate amounts of natural protein and phosphorus to overwinter cattle in a cost-effective manner;
- stimulates microbes in the rumen to promote the intake and digestion of dry winter grazing;
- helps prevent dry gall sickness since molasses is mildly laxative;
- provides trace elements which are essential for optimum appetite and fertility;
- part of the trace minerals are supplied in organic form which is highly absorbable and promotes optimal reproduction and growth as well as providing benefits gained from generational feeding such as superior calves.
