PACHIRA
Product Information
Pachira is a genus of tropical trees, most commonly known by the species Pachira aquatica, the popular houseplant known as the Money Tree. This plant is cherished for its distinctive, often braided trunk and hand-shaped, glossy leaves.
Light: Place in a location with bright, indirect light. Direct sun can burn the leaves, but the plant can tolerate lower light levels. Rotate the plant regularly to ensure even growth.
Watering: Water thoroughly, but allow the top inch or two of soil to dry out between waterings to prevent root rot. It is generally better to underwater than overwater.
Humidity & Temperature: As a tropical plant, it prefers moderate to high humidity and warm temperatures (65–75°F or 18–24°C). Misting or using a pebble tray with water (ensuring the pot is not submerged) can help maintain humidity.
Soil: Use a well-draining potting mix. A blend with peat moss, perlite, and coarse sand works well.
Fertilizer: Feed monthly with a diluted, balanced liquid fertilizer during the spring and summer growing seasons.
Pruning: Pruning can be done to maintain a desired shape or remove unhealthy leaves, encouraging a bushier appearance.
