Ponytail palms are unique-looking, long-lived indoor plants that thrive on benign neglect. They are straightforward to grow, provided that you don't overwater them.
This plant can be moved outside for the summer. Just transition it slowly from indoors to outdoors by placing it in part shade for several days before moving it to a full-sun location.
You won't need to water your plant more than once every two weeks (at most) during the growing season, and make sure that you are letting the soil thoroughly dry between waterings. Ponytail Palms are susceptible to root rot, so it's very important that you do not water the plant if you detect any moisture in the soil.
