Ne Plus Ultra Almond is a French variety, producing large papershell nuts with a chocolate colour. These trees have a spreading habit, as it is an excellent pollinator for other almond varieties. It is also self-incompatible and will pollinate well with the Nonpareil variety.
The Nonpareil almond tree produces high quality kernels that are sweet, smooth and excellent. This is also self-incompatible and will pollinate well with the Peerless variety. This is a great choice for the home garden as the fruit is very high-quality.
Almond trees do not do well in a humid climate.
