OBP VACCINE BLUE TONGUE 100ML

Product Information

  • Bluetongue in sheep, a non-contagious viral disease, is spread by insect bites.
  • The cause of Bluetongue disease is a result of midges carrying the Bluetongue virus. In sheep, the signs of Bluetongue include, but are not limited to: mouth ulcers, mucus discharge from nose and mouth, and swellings.
  • With the OBP Bluetongue vaccine, you get protection against three different serotypes of bluetongue virus.
  • The bottles are marked A, B and C to indicate when they should be given: A, first, B, three weeks later, and the bottle marked C three weeks after B to finish the series. If necessary, this interval can be longer but never shorter than three weeks.
  • It is necessary to inject the sheep with the full series, A, B and C in order to get the widest possible protection against Bluetongue disease.
  • The best prevention against Bluetongue in sheep is through vaccination.
