Here’s a super tutorial from www.lovelyindeed.com that’s fun and easy. Enjoy!

You will need

Steps

  1. Start by mixing the cement, making it the consistency of condensed milk, so that you can pour it.
  2. Once mixed, pour the cement into the ice tray moulds to the desired heights. Tap the tray a few times to help the cement settle.
  3. Let them dry completely over 24 hours or so before removing from the tray. Then do the entire procedure again, until you have enough dominoes. (You will need 28 domino pieces for the game, but consider making a few extra “blank” pieces you can keep as extras in case you lose or break any.)
  4. Use masking tape to tape off a thin line in the centre of each domino. Use craft paint to paint the centre line. Remove the tape while the paint is still wet. Set aside to dry thoroughly.
  5. After the centre lines are dry, use a pencil to mark off where the dots will be on each domino.
  6. Next, use the handle end of a craft paintbrush to create the dots. Dip the handle into a bit of paint and tap it lightly on the domino right over your pencil mark. It should make a nice, round dot.
  7. You can choose to make the dots all one colour, or make all your sixes one colour, all your fives another colour and so on.

Enjoy the crafting – and the gaming!
